Designed to stand out, challenge expectations and powerfully make a difference to others, Cluer’s work sparks conversation; it visually attracts further inquiry by asking for interaction. Cluer is utterly fascinated by the world and her need to understand is evident in her relentless experimentation and physical manifestation of the impossible. Her unique palette of overlooked, foundational materials results in her creation of sculptures that exist not because they should but because she wills them into being.
This past October, Cluer had her first solo exhibition in London where she debuted three large-scale sculptures. Namely, An Ode to Never Fitting In, was acquired by The Canary Wharf Estate and are now permanently, publicly displayed within The Harbour Quay Gardens.
Cluer’s outside, large sculptures are also held within The Roden collection after her month-long residency at Xenia Creative Retreat in Hampshire. Forthcoming, Ashley will also be showcasing work at Bonhams Auction House on Bond Street, February 2025 as part of the Cure3 exhibition.
