CLUER

Ashley Cluer (b. 2001) is a London based sculptor and graduate of The Ruskin School of Fine Art and Drawing, University of Oxford (2022).

Cluer’s radical sculptures are created through her need to physically manifest that which she has imagined. Her works are formed through an exploitation of overlooked, foundational materials. Her sculptures exist not because they should but because she wills them into being. Uniquely, she neither adheres to nor follows any conventional construction techniques.

The works are there to be interacted with, they entice conversation by forcing a viewer to question what they really know or expect from their surroundings. Filled with emotion, Ashley's sculptures freely express themselves through form, gesture, materiality and the unique titles she later entitles them with.
